Wanted to tell you one other story. Today was an awesome and crazy experience - the women really opened up to us and talked about how hard it is to be christian ina buddhist culture and also where they are surrounded by violence. The Holy Spirit was at work allowing us to communicate even though they don't speak English and we don't speak Khmer, and also in getting them to open up because they are very reserved.
She went out to a school where they teach the bible in the villgae, but a man didn't likle her bc he knew she was Christian. He tried to chop her so she and her friend ran to the tall grass to hide and they paryed together. They esacped* after that, her friend called or texted her at midnight each night so they could wake up and pray together. For what? Not for their own protection from this man but for his salvation. They continued to do this until God changed the mans heart, he became a Christian, and now he brings children to the school to learn about God!
